Ian graduated with a B.Sc in Computer Science and Physics from the University of British Columbia. This is where he developed a keen interest in programming and robotics. He was involved in the UBC club Thunderbird Robotics. He also studied in a graphics graduate lab. Ian has been with the Company for 6 years. He is responsible for software development and sensor integration.

Mr. Zhang has over 15 years of international experience in the exploration industry and research institution. He received his M.Sc. in Geology from Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, and a B.Sc in College of Earth Sciences, Jilin University. Over his career he has worked in all phases of exploration as a project geologist, and mainly focused on Micropaleontology and Biostratigraphy of Northeast China, and in wide variety of geological environment and cultural background. He has been a consultant to a number of mining companies in Canada and responsible for computerization, database, drilling, trenching, mapping, GIS and geological data processing. Within Universal Wing, Mr. Zhang is responsible for Geographic information, navigation, autopilot flight control, programming and data post-processing.

Mr. Sweeney has been with the company since inception, and is the CEO and Director of Universal Wing Technologies Inc. as well as CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary Universal Wing Geophysics Inc. Mr. Sweeney has played a major role in accomplishing key milestones in this emerging business sector. This includes working with the Canadian Aviation authorities at Transport Canada to develop a special flight operations certificate (SFOC) framework for the safe and legal commercial operation of Universal’s UAS technology in Canada. He was also instrumental in working with an international insurer to develop and customize an insurance policy to allow for the commercial use of Universals UAS throughout North America. Mr. Sweeney currently serves on the Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee of Unmanned Systems Canada, a non-profit association representing public and private innovation in unmanned vehicle systems in Canada.

Member Biography: 
Mr. Wood is an electrical engineer with over 20 years experience in aviation related industry. Beginning with his first appointment as a technician apprentice in 1980 with British Aerospace in the United Kingdom. He was responsible for providing engineering technical support for Raytheon International, the Riyadh International Airport in Saudi Arabia from 1993 to 2004. Mr. Wood is responsible for the integration of new sensors into the UAV platform in addition to trouble shooting and development Mr. Wood holds a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sussex in England. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers in England as well as the Western Canada Group of Chartered Engineers.

Kevin Kivi is a Canadian professional geologist with more than 25 years experience, licensed in 3 Provinces and NWT, specializing in diamond, gold and base metal exploration. Mr. Kivi has been a director of Universal Wing since its conception.

Mr. Jassal brings over 15 years of accounting and management experience to the Company. Mr. Jassal obtained a CGA designation from British Columbia, B. Com. from India, and accounting certificate from Ryerson University Toronto. Mr. Jassal has been involved with the Company as its Financial Controller since 2006. The Board of Directors welcomes Mr. Jassal to this new position.

Mr. Davies has more than 25 years of direct experience working in the resource exploration sector. In that time he has developed respected relationships with more than 50 mining and exploration companies, and has earned a reputation as a highly-skilled Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Manager. Mr. Davies is currently the President of Moonraker Multimedia Inc. which provides GIS management, web communications and multimedia services including promotional graphics and video to mineral exploration companies, oil and gas firms, research associations, PR agencies and IT consulting firms.
